Had a blast doing this poster for the Metro Cinema and their Cult Cinema series, this time for the film Midnight Cowboy, which if you didn't know is the only X-Rated film to ever win an Academy Award for Best picture. I wanted to do something that was correct for the period, while at the same time capturing the fevered dreamlike feeling of the film.
For this Project I really wanted to attempt a version of this Tuscan Shaded Alphabet, which dates back to 1907. I wanted to run the shade in the opposite direction though, because I'm a contrarion and I like to be difficult.
